The lightsaber features a permanently attached polycarbonate blade with igniting/glowing LED-powered power-up and power-down lights effects, motion sensor controlled sound effects---power-up, power-down, idle, movement, and clash---digitally recorded from the movie.
The Luke Skywalker lightsaber requires, but does not include, 6 AA batteries. It is accompanied by a display stand.
